The true face of Americana is Jackie Cooper stalking Miss Crabtree- which is also often the same look sported by C.Gibbs. 'Parade of Small horses' is fine Gothic folk as told by a hillbilly in a haunted house, with plenty of small town flourishes that prevent Gibbs from sounding like just another brooding bastard...with amazingly enough, a band that can match his ambition in a live setting.
